The Beginning of Something Awesome- Welcome to the Premium HomePro Blog

Jan 15, 2016 | Home Industry News, Premium HomePro News and Announcements

Last week we launched Premium HomePro, and today we’re launching the Premium Home Pro blog.

The first blog post is always a little odd.

Are you supposed to just dive right into the content and pretend it’s not the first post? Or is it best to start with an introduction post?

Well we’ve decided on the latter since the first post typically get’s buried pretty quickly after the blog launches. So in this post, I’m going to to outline the Premium HomePro blog, and give an introduction to the different post categories that we plan on creating.

But first, I’m going to give an introduction to Premium HomePro as a company so you can better understand why we exist and what we plan to accomplish as a business.

The Who, What, and Why of Premium HomePro

We’ll start with the Who

We are a team of creative designers, internet entrepreneurs, and technology enthusiasts committed to providing high quality web solutions for home professionals.

In other words, we’re a bunch of internet geeks that like to build websites.

Let’s get one thing straight though. We are not a creative agency. We’ll talk more about that in a second.

When we say “Home Professionals” who are we talking about? I figured that’s worth explaining. We cater to really any professional in the home industry. For example, General Contractors, Architects, Interior Designers, Landscape Designers and Contractors, Painters, Carpet and Flooring Professionals, and a whole lot more. To give you an idea of the types of professionals we service, navigate to the Find a Pro Directory on Houzz and look at the category types on the left sidebar.

The What

Premium HomePro is a brand new way for home professionals to obtain a high quality website for their business. Premium HomePro is what we call a “productized service.”

Traditionally, a company would hire a professional designer or creative agency to design and build a website. So traditionally, the process of designing and building a website is a service.

The service is billed by the hour based on a pre-established estimate. The designer or agency would typically work with any type of company or professional and create each solution from scratch based on the clients needs.

That’s why hiring a professional designer or agency is extremely costly. And this is why we are not an agency.

We don’t create websites for just any type of company. We specifically cater to home professionals, aka home pros.

Because of this is we are able to create a streamlined, efficient process for creating the website for our customer. This allows us to keep our cost low, and have an established cost predetermined opposed to billing by the hour.

This is why we are a productized service.

The Why

Why we exist is extremely important. Let me explain.

After working in the home industry and speaking with home professionals on a regular basis, we quickly realized that the majority of home professionals in America had outdated websites.

Most of the websites we viewed were not mobile friendly, were not up to modern web design trends and technology best practices, and were not updated on a regular basis (or at all since the time they were built 10 years ago).

So after further research, we figured out why this was the case.

Most home professionals don’t have the budget for a professionally designed website. And secondly, most home professionals don’t have the time, skills, or desire to build the website themselves with a cheap online builder.

That’s where Premium HomePro comes in. We decided to create a solution for home professionals that allows them to obtain a high quality, modern, mobile friendly website that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg, and doesn’t require a large time commitment.

We’re pretty excited about what we have to offer, and hope it can be a game charger for this industry.

Now, let’s move on and talk about the blog specifically.

What to Expect with the Premium HomePro Blog

Our number one hope for the blog is that it becomes a useful resource for our customers and other home professionals. So here’s a list of the different types of post we plan on creating for the blog.

We’ll of course be adding new types of content as we go, always with the goal of providing useful information to home pros that will help them grow their business. If there’s any type of content you’d like to see specifically, don’t hesitate to reach out and let us know!
